EU BEACON One Health Education: new channel, global tools, shared knowledge
Position secured as communications, dissemination and exploitation officer.
Reading time: three minutes
Summary: new communication structure launched under EU BEACON One Health education. A YouTube channel presents structured expert insights. Outputs include open tools, courseware and FAIR-aligned frameworks. Global uptake and responsible reuse are central.
I now confirm my position as scientific communications, dissemination and exploitation officer at EU BEACON One Health education, the action I once founded and took forward during years of severe abuses, torture, still sadly ongoing as justice is the rare exception in this World. Thankful to Professor María Jesús for securing the action through her leadership and commitment, as a good person she is. The role involves coordinating the structured release of knowledge, tools and frameworks produced across the network, ensuring that they are clear, accessible, and reusable across regions, languages and systems. Scientific precision, transparency and honesty are central throughout. Without these, nothing holds. With them, everything we build becomes possible. The action dedicated YouTube channel is now active:
https://www.youtube.com/@onehealthedtech
It will very soon start hosting a series of structured video segments, formula videos and other content, in which leading researchers and professionals will share, in plain terms, what they are doing, why it matters, the obstacles they face, and the direction ahead. Each contribution follows a consistent format and is intended to support mutual learning, documentation and collaboration. These are not promotional pieces but working insights from the frontline, openly shared for adaptation and uptake.
The channel, devoted to children and adults alike, is to accompany the development of openly licensed courseware, reproducible tools, and structured applications for education, clinical use and ethical innovation, with strict open source and technology. All outputs will follow FAIR principles and support alignment with local and global needs. Spin-offs and translational work will also be pursued, documented, supporting sustainable implementation of the action globally. This all will add to the support already secured through EU COST Action funding and complements Horizon Europe proposals now under review, as well as other major grants our network is pursuing. The work is planned, staged, structured to deliver on the stated goals with greater safety, reach and coherence than would be possible in isolation. Plans will be shared here, in all official action channels, open to contributors and everyone’s insights.
Please, be welcomed in, if not already engaged in these developments. EU BEACON is connecting with contributors, institutions and systems worldwide. Scientific honesty and shared purpose guide the work. The objective is not scale for its own sake, but precision and coherence across every link.
I am finalising my doctoral dissertation, which documents the complete trajectory of the action-research process that made this stage possible. It has been developed under eight years of sustained and coordinated violence, including daily beatings, physical assaults, and repeated poisoning that nearly resulted in death. These were not isolated events, nor private matters. They occurred with the awareness, tolerance or complicity of state institutions. Law enforcement, medical staff, judicial bodies and social services did not intervene. On the contrary, they enabled the violence through omission, cover-up, and at times active participation. Their role was not to err in judgment, but to abandon or violate their professional and legal duties.
What took place is only adequately described as torture, concealed and facilitated by systems meant to protect. These were not individual failures, but structural crimes. Perpetrators moved freely behind professional masks, often rewarded or shielded by their roles. Their positions within official institutions allowed them to operate without scrutiny. What was done was permitted by collective silence, cultural decay, and a system designed to deny those who resist any semblance of protection.
I am currently in relative safety, outside the jurisdiction where seeking help led to new layers of persecution. Torturers of mine remain unpunished. Yet the core of the work stands. This moment marks a relevant shift. The worst scenarios, those involving appropriation and sabotage by power-seeking actors intent on exploiting a collective project for private gain, have been deflected. These individuals showed no intention to contribute, nor any effort to understand the purpose of the work. Their hostility was not incidental. It was tied to what the project represents: a refusal to conform, to submit, or to betray. They remain in power, free, their crimes not accounted. My own family of origin, abusers as they are, attracting and promoting the very worse. Their money, their slack and selfishness, filthy rich as them are, all being devoted to the crime and the silencing, to keep on. For the longest, as it is a transgenerational issue, once almost fully backed by the regime. Now, still this degree of easy and normalized. Compounding to the hatred, making life and work hard as it gets, that degree of close to dying. Made to be vulnerable, when doing this honest work. Their proximity continues to pose a threat. Yet, they have failed to seize control. The knowledge, this network and action, our life, direction, remains intact.
Let this be stated without ambiguity: my, our work, is not a crime. It never was. Not under the laws of the European Union, nor any international framework governing scientific activity, open knowledge dissemination, or human rights defence. And yet, this basic truth was inverted by those who stood by, or actively participated in, the violence. Law enforcement officers, doctors, and state actors did not only fail to protect. They questioned, pathologised, and criminalised legitimate work and lawful resistance, treating the presence of international experts, including a UN rapporteur, as a cause for interrogation rather than a safeguard. This inversion of reality is itself part of the structural violence I document. It deserves exposure.
It should not had been even possible. I was close to dying. Criminals are masking, sadly, as law enforcement, doctors, judges, social workers, among us all. They pose the most severe risks. What persists is not accidental. These are family-based, institutional and societal-level crimes, permitted by scale and by the overwhelming prevalence of those unwilling or unable to act. Those committed to truth, care and structural change remain few, dispersed, and often isolated. We, as theym must be recognised, supported, and brought to safer ground. That is what this work aims to facilitate as well. We stand as the mirror of what they conceal. And that, above all, is what they hate. Not for any crime, but for clarity, coherence and refusal. For reminding them of what they are not. We keep on doing our humble best, protecting the honest. Fostering the opportunities, upbringing. Thank you.
